Mr. Knecht was born in Flint, Michigan, November 6, 1953. He graduated from Duke University in 1975 and from the Detroit College of Law in 1979.

Mr. Knecht maintains a practice involving business law, non-profit organizations, residential and commercial real estate matters, Wills, Trusts, powers of attorney for healthcare and finances, elder law, estate planning, and wealth transfer. He also maintains a general civil trial practice including business and probate litigation.
