Mr. Froats grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He is a graduate of Oakland University and Western Michigan University - Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

While in law school, he interned with the Estate Planning Clinic helping elderly and low-income clients and their families with their estate planning needs. Mr. Froats is currently serving on the Executive Committee for the American Inns of Court (Genesee County Chapter). 

He is also an active member of the Genesee County Bar Association Probate Committee.  Prior to joining Cline, Cline & Griffin, P.C. he spent several years in the automotive industry. Mr. Froats maintains practice in the areas of estate planning, real estate, business and probate litigation.
