Mrs. McIlhargie is graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint and Western Michigan University-Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Mrs. McIlhargie has a background in Social Service work with experience in Crisis Case Management for mental health, Social Service Director in a skilled nursing facility, and legal case management of court appointed guardianships. While in law school, she was awarded the Certificate of Merit in Torts I, Constitutional Law II, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Michigan Medical Malpractice, Michigan Estate Planning and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mrs. McIlhargie is an active member of the Genesee County Bar Association Probate Committee. She maintains practice in the areas of Guardianship, Conservatorship, Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorney for Healthcare and Finances, estate planning and elder law.
