Jose T. Brown

Mr. Brown was born in Jackson, Michigan, June 11, 1956. He is a 1978 graduate of Michigan State University and a 1981 graduate from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Brown maintains memberships in the Genesee County Bar Association (Board of Directors); State Bar of Michigan (Board of Directors, Negligence Section, Judicial Qualification Committee); American Bar Association; Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (Past President, Executive Board of Directors, 1988-1995); Defense Research Institute (Board of Directors, 2001-2003 and 2005-2008, State Representative, Exceptional Performance Citation, 2008); Chairperson Medico-Legal Problems, Committee of State Bar of Michigan; Past Chairperson of Governmental Affairs Committee of Michigan Society of Hospital Risk Managers; Board of Directors, Michigan Society of Hospital Risk Managers; Author for Amicus Curiae Committee of the Michigan Society of Hospital Risk Managers.

Mr. Brown maintains a general civil practice including personal injury law, professional liability defense, general defense, dental, hospital and medical malpractice defense, labor and employment, corporate law and personal injury.

Mr. Brown is a Michigan Certified Case Evaluator and is a Life Fellow, State Bar of Michigan Foundation.
